Welcome Back BBQ and Meet the Educator Night

This Coming Wednesday evening is our Welcome Back BBQ hosted by our School Council. Coming out is an excellent opportunity for our school community to gather. There will also be an opportunity for your child to take you to their classroom so you can see where the learning happens! This evening will run from 5 - 7 PM. We hope to see a great turnout.

There will also be a Scholastic Book Fair in the Learning Commons during this evening if you are looking for new books to start the school year for your child(ren).

School Council September Meeting and Elections

Our Catholic School Council at St. Jerome plays an instrumental role in our school community. Each year our School Council provides opportunities to our students that enrich their learning at St. Jerome. Some of these opportunities are curriculum-related, while others offer life lessons and help to build school spirit. Having an active and supportive School Council is such an essential part of St. Jerome Catholic School. If you think you have some ideas or time to spare to get involved, we would love to have you come to our meeting this Tuesday evening.

You are interested in learning more about our Catholic School Council and the positions that make up our executive, please take a look at the following information:

Safe Arrival and Dismissal at St. Jerome

Safe Arrival: Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our ‘Kiss n’Ride’ moving in the mornings. We have not had many parents leave their cars unattended and block the lane. It is much appreciated.

Dismissal: Please remember to stay out of the lane in front of the school at the end of the day. This lane is to be kept clear for our Special Transportation vehicles from 2:45 - 3: 15 PM. It is also crucial to stay out of the parking lot at the end of the day. If you do not have an accessible parking permit issued by the Ministry of Transportation, park off school grounds and walk over to meet your child. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Slack.

Class Placement

St. Jerome Catholic School is a growing community! This year we are already well over projected numbers. Please be advised that student placement at this point of the school year is tentative with hopes that everything will be finalized the first three weeks of school. To meet Ministry guidelines regarding class size, it may become necessary to reorganize classes during this period. You will be notified of any changes affecting your child. Student placement is always looked at carefully by the staff and decisions made are in the best interests of all involved. Your patience and support are appreciated.
