Our school community has been very busy this Advent. Here is a summary of the many projects that we have supported over the past four weeks. Social justice projects at SJ:Syrian Refugee fundraiser $374 (doubled by the government matching dollars) Nigerian Orphans Fund (Fr. Titus) $507 Grade 1s made Christmas cards and messages for the children. This number is continuing to increase as donations continue. 20 bags of winter wear for Dr F.J. McDonald Angel Tree (both communities: SJ and FJ) Thanks to Ms Yeomans and Ms Salter and all of our "givers" and wrapping volunteers. Toiletries Train- the train is overflowing (Amor Dei- St Leonards) SHOUT raised approximately $250.00 at the White Elephant Sale selling beaded jewelry they made. a number of student donations have been made to SHOUT and their work with the sandwich making program for the Shepherds of Good Hope - Lent will see our continued involvement in the OK Clean Water Project, our SHOUT initiatives and our continued support of our sister school
